Honda e is an electric rear-wheel drive hatchback of B-segment. In March 2017, the Geneva Motor Show demonstrated the car as a concept. Its model was released two years later, at the September 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The Honda first EV, the e, is constructed on an all new dedicated electric chassis with MacPherson strut suspension on the front and rear and an electric motor in the rear.

The under-floor traction battery has a rating of 35.5 kWh and gives it a driving range of 220 km (WLTP). The process of charging the battery between 5 and 80 percent at a rapid charging station takes 30 minutes. Incidentally, the charging flap is situated at the middle of the hood.

Also mentioned by the manufacturer, the rear-wheel drive and the weight distribution of 50:50 should enable the car to turn out to be a vpolne acceptable hot hatch. Nevertheless, Honda does not give acceleration numbers, restricting itself to the top speed of 145 km/h.
