The 2021 Honda e is, in terms of dimensions, a little bit shorter than the Jazz: 3,895 mm compared to 4,028 mm, although it is wider, 1,750 mm compared to 1,694 mm. The both hatchbacks are the same in terms of the wheelbase, both being 2,530 mm.

The exterior design of the new model depicts a unique retro appearance based on the early Civic models of the 1970s of Honda. However, the style of the hatchback was not much of a revelation, the trend had been identified with the display of the initial Urban EV concept, which later became the reality in the form of the production electric model. The final variant had some concept-car solutions. As an example, it lacks any side mirrors at the traditional place, just cameras (as with the Audi e-tron and Lexus ES), and the picture is shown on two 6-inch screens mounted on the sides of the center panel. Further to them, the panel also accommodates 3 other screens namely, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and two 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreens.

Nonetheless, even equipped with the whole range of hi-tech solutions, the manufacturer retained some rather old-school characteristics in the cabin according to the modern standards, i.e., a physical-button block of climate-control and mechanical knobs of regulating the temperature and fan power.

Honda e comes in two options with 136 and 154 hp of output, with the electric motor itself being the same, and only the software being adjusted.
