2019 Honda HR-V models come with six airbags, hill-start assist, the Honda Sensing system of driver assist technologies (adaptive cruise control, automatic braking, lane-marking monitoring and lane-keeping assist, etc.), LED headlights, climate control, power-adjustable driver seat, heated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and mirror-mounted cameras (to show the image on the screen when the turn signal is on), a panoramic roof, and 18-inch wheels.

The rear row, where the Magic Seat feature is present even in the lower trim should be given special consideration. This allows you to transport tall cargo (Tall Mode) which you can fold the second-row seat cushions against the seatbacks and long cargo (Long Mode)- you can fold not only the second row but the front passenger seat. Also, the folded rear bench and the cargo floor have a flat load surface.

In the U.S., following the facelift, Honda HR-V is being sold in a single engine version. It is a 1.8-liter naturally aspirated gas engine that uses a technology marketing known as EarthDreams (which is an enhanced form of VTEC). Output is 141 hp and 172 Nm of torque. The engine is only combined with a CVT (except the base one that has paddle shifters), and the vehicle has either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Those with two-wheel drive have a plain torsion-beam rear axle, whereas those with all-wheel drive have a De Dion rear suspension.

Following the update, the crossover was reequipped with a recalibrated CVT and an all-wheel-drive system, further sound insulation, and a new electric power steering system with a new steering ratio.
