Buyers liked Honda Passport 2026 model – the most popular segment car created the real wave in the market. The Honda Passport TrailSport SUV was particularly a success – it sold 80%. Such a stir did not come as an anticipation of the manufacturer.

In the USA, which is one of the major markets of the Honda Passport model, the sales of this car grew by 70% with the generation change in 2025, as 55,231 units were sold.

The Honda Passport TrailSport (4th generation) is made based on a re-engineered version of the Honda CR-V crossover and is technically similar to Honda Pilot SUV except that the suspension has been redesigned and reinforced.

Honda felt the increasing demand of all-terrain vehicles that had a brutal design and hence the new car was designed in a more rough and strong manner. It has a strong 285 forces 3.5 liter gasoline V6 under the hood. Honda Passport has a starting price of 44750 and this is what distinguishes it among the large SUVs.

The base TrailSport does already include underbody protection, a unique suspension and off-road tires, but the HRC concept includes even more. It also has new bumpers and enhances approach and departure angles and has added aluminum skid plates that safeguard important parts of the car such as the center bearing, rear driveshaft and driveshaft.

Suspension has been lifted by approximately 2 inches and the tire diameter has also been increased by 1 inch due to increase in the ground clearance. The technical alterations are completed with an improved shock absorber and an exclusive exhaust system. In order to add outdoor capability, the concept will have new fog lights, side and rear lights, low profile roof rack, full size spare tire mount that is easily accessed even in rugged terrain, 800 lb. winches and built-in compressor.

The outside is painted in a matte Thermal Orange with a black roof and the interior is finished with blue Alcantara inserts and HRC accessory panels. All of these upgrades notwithstanding, the powertrain is the same: the same 3.5-liter V6 with 285 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque, which is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

This is a new and significant award that has just been given to the 2026 Honda Passport: the editors of GearJunkie, one of the most significant specialized publications in the outdoor gear, mobility, and lifestyle field, have named the Passport the Adventure Vehicle of the Year. The Passport and the Passport TrailSport were the best in the two-row SUV category.

It is the second GearJunkie Adventure Vehicle of the Year award that Honda has won, after the Honda Transalp 750 motorcycle received the Best Motorcycle award that year. A commitment that will strengthen the Japanese brand identity to the cars that are created to go on the road.

The GearJunkie award of Adventure Vehicle of the Year is awarded to the best off-road and 4×4 models that have been introduced to the market within the past one year. In 2021, following the testing of many new adventure vehicles, the editorial team of GearJunkie has identified eight models, all of which they call the best of their category.

Passport is powered by V6 engine and i-VTM4 all-wheel drive as standard. It comes in three highly equipped trims which include RTL, TrailSport as well as TrailSport Elite.
