Honda Insight is a C-segment hatchback that is front wheel-driven and has a hybrid engine. The facelifted version was first shown in Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011.

The Insight is designed around the same platform as the Jazz and Civic models, which in fact is a very different car and following the facelift the Insight further distanced itself on its platform companions. The designers of the hatchback updated the front bumper including making it more sculpted, increased the size of the air-intake openings, installed new headlamps, new grille and wheels, made the rear spoiler slimmer, and altered the tailgate shape.

The interior was also changed. In the first place, they were of the rear bench. Its design was streamlined in a way that would allow more space to be given to the passengers in terms of leg and headroom. The Insight also got increased cupholders of larger diameters than earlier and the center armrest was made to be even more comfortable. Honda also states that it made sound insulation and had positive outcomes.

Honda Insight hybrid powertrain did not radically change. It continues to generate 88 hp and 121 Nm of torque but engineers were able to minimize the number of friction losses between the parts of the 4-cylinder gasoline engine and the continuously variable transmission. The outcome was reduced fuel consumption- 5.6 liters per 100km as compared to 5.74 liters. Emissions of harmful cases have been rated at 96 g/km.
