Honda Accord Plug-in Hybrid is a hybrid adaptation of a vehicle with a D-segment. The car debuted in June 2013.

The hybrid model of the Honda Accord stands out very easily as compared to the pure gasoline models. The Plug-in Hybrid features blue LED inserts within the headlamps, alloy-designed wheels that are unique, a trunk lid spoiler, and badges that have Hybrid lettering. There are also plenty of differences inside, the most notable of which is the blue light of the instrument panel.

In spite of the fact that the Accord, by definition, is an inexpensive vehicle, however, it still has all types of electronics which are no inferior to its purely gasoline counterparts. Specifically, the sedan will satisfy its owner with a multimedia system, rearview camera, seven-speaker built-in audio system, satellite radio and Bluetooth, blind-spot monitor, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning systems.

Honda Accord hybrid is represented in two versions, a plug-in version, which has a 6.7 kWh lithium battery, which is sufficient to cover 21 kilometers of trip in pure electric mode, and the version that lacks the possibility to recharge on the grid. In the latter, beneath a hood there is a 140-hp 2-liter gasoline engine, running on the Atkinson cycle, and an electric motor with a power of 124 kW. Their combined output is 196 hp. The car has a combined cycle consumption of 3.33 liters of fuel per 100 km according to the Japanese standards. This value is 4.8 liters in the American version and five liters in the plug in version.
