Honda Accord Hybrid – A hybrid powered front-wheel-drive car in the D-segment. The model is in its tenth generation. The first Accord was premiered in Detroit on July 14, 2017, and the sales of the hybrid edition in the USA began in early 2018.

The hybrid Accord is differentiated by the powertrain, compared to the conventional one. The main characteristic of i-MMD, as before, is the existence of two electric motors, the first one starter of the car (and at high speeds the gasoline engine will be connected directly) and the second one is a generator. The third component is a 2.0-liter gasoline engine that is powered by the Atkinson cycle in order to conserve fuel. Total system output is 212 hp. It operates with an E-CVT transmission which is equipped with a Sport mode; moreover, the strength of the regenerative braking can be adjusted with the help of paddle shifters. The manufacturer states that its fuel consumption is 5.0 L/100 km (in all driving cycles).

The traction battery has been positioned under the trunk floor as opposed to the back area of the seat in the earlier generation and the reason is that the rear bench can now be folded in a 60/40 split and the trunk capacity remains at 473 liters as in the regular Accord.
