Honda Accord 2016 is a front drive D segment sedan. The ninth-generation model with facelift was first shown at the Moscow Motor Show in August 2014.

The new 2016 Accord does not at first glance appear that new. It possesses a new radiator grille and slightly modified bumpers, redesigned front seats, which minimize the likelihood of injuries to the spine and neck, but this is just the tip of the iceberg, and is not so significant as the other new aspects. And there are plenty of them.

The new Accord is also well-equipped and has numerous modern technologies even in the base trim. As an example, the car has the Smart Entry keyless entry system, a port where an external source can be connected through the USB/iPod, light and rain sensors, cruise control, multimedia display and the Eco Assist system. On pricier models, there is an electromechanical parking brake, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitoring system, preventive braking system in case of a possible collision, etc.

Most of the significant modifications in the new Honda Accord lie behind the hood. One example was a 2 litre, 4-cylinder gasoline engine with intake cam phasers and a VTEC system which controls valve lift and valve lift duration. This engine has 150 hp and 190 Nm of torque. Moreover, the sedan is also fueled by an inline-four 2.4 liter direct fuel injection, 188 hp, and 245 Nm of torque engine. The engines can only be used with a CVT. Consequently, despite the 2.4-liter unit, the Accord uses less than 8 liters of fuel per 100 km in the combined cycle.

The Honda Accord also has an engine line-up with a 3.0 liter V6 that has a variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation in some markets. The output of this unit is 249 hp.
