Honda Accord Hybrid is the hybrid version of a D-segment sedan. The debut of the car, built on the basis of the ninth-generation model, took place in June 2013 in Japan.

Accord Hybrid should not be confused with the Accord Plug-In Hybrid version that debuted a little earlier. The difference between them is that the car with Plug-In in its name can be charged from the grid. Otherwise, the sedans are not fundamentally different from each other. The Accord Hybrid, like its dual-powered relative, shows off blue LED inserts in the headlamps, uniquely designed alloy wheels, a spoiler on the trunk lid, and badges with “Hybrid” lettering. If you look inside, you can also find plenty of differences, the most striking of which is the blue illumination of the instrument panel, emphasizing the car’s eco-friendliness.

Despite the fact that the Accord Hybrid, by its nature, is meant to be an economical car, it is nevertheless equipped with all kinds of electronics no worse than its purely gasoline counterparts. In particular, the sedan can please its owner with a multimedia system, a rearview camera, a seven-speaker audio system, satellite radio and Bluetooth, as well as blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning systems.

The Honda Accord Hybrid is powered by a drivetrain consisting of a 2.0-liter gasoline engine operating on the Atkinson cycle and a 124 kW electric motor. The combined output of the two units is 196 hp. At the same time, fuel consumption per 100 km in the combined cycle (depending on the measurement standard) ranges from 3.33 to 4.8 liters.
