Honda Civic is a sports variant of a front-wheel-drive car of the category G1 class. The ninth generation of the model was first shown in Detroit Auto Show in January 2011.

It is not very difficult to distinguish the sporty Civic on the subject of the common coupe. Any car with an Si badge appears aggressive. The bumpers, extensions of the side-skirts, spoiler, rear diffuser, and few other exterior parts, such as distinctively designed wheels, are to be given credit. Regarding the interior, the Civic Si adheres to the design language used by the model overall. The first edition of the ninth generation was a not that successful one, but with the 2012 facelift the state of things has improved in the most significant way possible. Japanese applied better quality of trim materials, created new color palette, better sound insulation, and increased the level of equipment.

Moving on to equipment: the Civic Si Coupe has a standard-equipped rear view camera, Bluetooth HandsFree and Bluetooth Audio, USB and an iPod input, Pandora internet radio, an SMS interface, a sliding center armrest as well as a multifunction steering wheel. Such optional features as a lane-departure warning system, a forward-collision warning system, and many others are available.

The chassis design remained the same as that used in the last Civic Si Coupe (MacPherson struts in the front and a multi-link in the rear), but the Honda engineers nevertheless recalibrated the suspension and steering and fitted the car with a limited-slip differential, which, theoretically, should enhance handling.

The Honda Civic Si Coupe has an i-VTEC 2.4-liter inline-four with a liter capacity of 2.4 liters under the hood. It has a 201 hp (7,000 rpm) and 231 Nm torque with a 6-speed manual transmission. The powertrain in the combined cycle requires a minimum of 7.6 liters of fuel per 100 km.
