Honda Civic Coupe is a front-wheel-driven G1-class coupe that was made to cater to the U.S. market. The ninth generation was launched in January 2011 at Detroit Auto Show.

The Civic made much noise in the US media. Such criticism of the model by journalists made the Japanese implement a series of serious changes only one year after the premiere, not only the appearance but also the technical part of the car. It is a fact that the majority of the changes were directed at the sedan, and the coupe did not undergo many changes. Anyway, designers chose not to fix the exterior, however, the interior still needed to be fixed. New trim materials and new design details made it more comfortable and high-quality.

Another aspect that attracted the attention of engineers was the chassis of the Civic coupe. Principally, it was still designed in the same way though alterations were carried out on the steering and the suspension. Moreover, Honda engineers were able to raise body rigidity and enhance the sound insulation of the vehicle.

The Civic Coupe has the ability to include a rearview camera, Bluetooth HandsFree and Bluetooth Audio, USB and an iPod interface, SMS-sending feature, sliding center armrest, folding rear seat, lane-departure warning system and many others depending on the trim level.

The Honda civic Coupe has a 1.8 liter i-VTEC inline- four under the hood. It has 140 hp and 128 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automatic. In the combined cycle, the car requires approximately six liters of gasoline to travel 100 km with the latter. The Civic attributes this outcome to the ECO Assist system, which provides the driver with the rightful advice in saving money on driving.
