2013 Honda Civic Sedan is the American variant of a front-wheel-driven C-segment sedan. The ninth generation of the model was modified to form the facelifted variant, which was launched at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

Although the ninth-generation Civic was introduced in the year 2011, only one and half-year later Honda had no other option but to heavily modify the design, as most of its features were not quite popular among car enthusiasts in America. Consequently, designers nearly entirely re-designed the front part of the sedan altering the grille, the bumper and the headlamps, the hood was slightly altered and, in general, the design of the rear part was changed.

The interior too became quite different in most ways, where the concept was the same. However, the Japanese employed softer plastics, leather inlays, two elements of the so-called chrome appearance, and invented some new color combinations. The interior of the Civic sedan has become more solid and much more oriented to American tastes, visually. In addition, it also became well equipped. The list of standard equipment includes rearview camera, Bluetooth HandsFree and Bluetooth Audio interface, USB and iPod input, Pandora internet radio, SMS message sending interface, sliding center armrest, and a multifunction steering wheel. There are optional features such as lane- departure warning system, forward- collusion warning system among many others.

Another area that the Honda engineers focused on was the chassis of the Civic Sedan. Theoretically, its design was the same, however, both the suspension and the steering were modified. Moreover, Honda experts were able to enhance the level of body rigidity and the sound insulation of the vehicle.

In the hood of Honda Civic Sedan there is a 1.8 liter inline-four. It has a 140 hp 128 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm and is available with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automatic.
