2015 Honda CR-V is a “K1” class SUV. The fourth generation model underwent a facelift that was introduced in the fall of 2014.

The CR-V was also given a new grille, the different bumpers and lighting, redesigned mirrors, and other visual features during the facelift. However, the most significant addition is the inclusion of an engine in the lineup of the 1.6-liter i-DTEC i-Diesel with 160 hp and 350 Nm of torque. In the European markets it substituted the 2.2-liter diesel and is combined with a 9-speed automatic transmission. And even with the reduced amount of displacement, this engine will be more than one-third more efficient, using only 4.9 liters per 100 km in the combined cycle.

Besides the new engine, Honda CR-V is also available with the same 1.6-liter diesel, with 120 hp, and the same size 2.0-liter gasoline with 155 hp and 192 Nm. The three units comply with the Euro 6 emission standard, although the older engines do not receive the new transmission- they have to content themselves with 6 speed manual or 5 speed automatic. The fact that the new 9-speed automatic can, when needed, jump straight to 9 th to 5 th and 7 th to 4 th should be mentioned separately. It weighs also 35 kg less than the former gearbox and combined with the 1.6-liter diesel the weight saved is 65 kg.
