The wave of updates for the Civic model began with the U.S.-market Honda Civic Sedan. The first thing you notice is a slightly different front bumper compared to the previous version. In the lower section, separate recesses appeared for the fog lights, with black mesh. The same mesh is used in the grille, under the chrome trim. The signature Honda edges that appeared in the grille can be seen as a step toward making the Honda Civic Sedan more recognizable. Essentially, these are all the changes at the front of the car, aside from a slightly revised color scheme for the headlamp units and an updated design of the fog lights.

The rear of the U.S. Honda Civic sedan has hardly changed. Only the regular bulbs in the taillights were replaced with LEDs. However, the shape and color concept of the lights remained the same. On some versions, a chrome strip appeared above the license-plate recess.

The interior also underwent some changes. The seat upholstery color schemes were updated, and for the hybrid, leather with heated front seats and heated side mirrors can be ordered as an option. A USB port and the ability to activate hands-free via the Bluetooth protocol appeared. EX, Hybrid, and Si sedans can additionally boast a navigation system. Overall, the American Honda Civic has become even more comfortable—and there’s no arguing with that.
