2020 Honda CR-V also has a hybrid variant. It has a 2-liter gasoline powertrain (145 hp, 175 Nm), an electric motor (184 hp, 315 Nm) and a traction battery that is situated under the cargo-floor. Total output is 215 hp and 315 Nm. This is the principle of the system: the first movement is made by means of the electric motor, and at higher speeds internal-combustion engine works and with the help of a clutch, this engine is connected to the wheels directly.

This does not have a traditional gearbox. This version is visually different with LED DRL strips in the front bumper, lack of exhaust finishers, and two badges. The drive-mode controls of the CR-V Hybrid include push buttons instead of the traditional gear-selector lever, which allows the Hybrid to be identified as inside.

The manufacturer also dropped the older naturally aspirated 2.4 (186 hp, 244 Nm) in the lineup, and retained the turbocharged 1.5-liter VTEC inline-four (190 hp, 243 Nm). It has a CVT transmission and all-wheel drive (optional), or front-wheel drive.
